Het Pomphuis, literally means The Pumphouse.
Located on the harbour of Antwerp, Belgium this abandoned pumphouse was refurbished into modern cuisine restaurant. Having your dinner here is rather unique because of the high ceilings and vast space to entertain. The set menu is only under 50 euros.

Salmon mousse (Amuse Bouche) with Champagne to start!
Duroc De Batalle Batonnets with cauliflower, mushrooms, grilled zucchini, mixed pickles and parsnip chips
Seabass Tartar with Pata Negra and Lime, Tomato Compote, Fennel Crispy Potatoes and Yoghurt Dressing
Sollomillo with oyster mushrooms, white cabbage, young carrots, onion structures, baked potatoes and veal gravy
Young Turbot with Lobster and Leek broth, celery, green asparagus lobster and spinach ravioli and lobster flavoured foam
“Madagascar” chocolate cake, orange custard and meringue, Mandarin Napoleon gel, Vanilla Waffle and Ferrero Roche Ice Cream
The set menu is a fair with modern plating. The highlight would be the pork ribs cube! (Duroc De Batalle Batonnets)

One of my good friend who happens to be relocated in Paris, and her forte happens to be Restaurant PR back in Singapore. What better place to be than in Paris, the Haute Cuisine city!
She suggested this bang for bucks lunch set menu, way before Joel Robuchon sets up a satellite restaurant in Singapore. She explicitly highly recommended it.
Soon then I realized, it is indeed the world’s best mashed potatoes I ever had.

I must say, I am really lucky to met Chef Guy Savoy himself (who happened to be in town!)! I don’t know what got into me, that I decided to dine in at Guy Savoy that very day!
It was so memorable dinning here. I had the MENU PRESTIGE! Definitely dine in the burgundy style!

(Very burgundy) They even served Laguiole knife for the pigeon! True French! You know you had an awesome meal, when you are the last table dinning in the restaurant and the chef came to the table to greet you! A must try for the deep pockets! Impeccable and informative services! Tres Bien!
